The Piner-Olivet Union School District incorporates a variety of assessments and district benchmark windows to assure that students make progress towards meeting and/or exceeding academic standards at each grade level.   Student performance data and ongoing assessments are used to make decisions about improving instructional programs in all content areas.

STAR/CST/CAT 6/CAPA (Grades 2-11)/EAP (11th)

CMA (Grades 3-8 ELA; Grades 3-7 math; Grades 4 & 7 Writing; Grades 5 & 8 Science)

Standards –Based Tests in Spanish (STS) will be administered in grades 2-7.  These are required for Spanish-speaking students who receive instruction in their primary language; or have been enrolled in a school in the U.S. less than 12 months.

Other Notes:

  • Report cards are aligned with the Summative Tests.
  • All K-6 teachers may choose to use their Motor Skills/P.E., Library or Music time to administer CELDT and District Benchmark Tests during the indicated testing window periods.
