Schaefer Elementary School wants parents and the community to have easy access to the most current school news. We understand that in your busy world, you may not have the time to sift through a pile of mail for a newsletter, or wait for your child to bring a newsletter home.
Fall is Here!
Fall has arrived--please make sure your student is dressed appropriately for the cooler weather!
This week is Halloween!
This Friday is Halloween, and following tradition Schaefer will hold its Halloween costume parade. If you didn't see the flier sent home on Monday here's the schedule:
- Kindergarten parade starts at 11:15 a.m.
- Grades 1-6 parade starts at 1:45 p.m.
Only Kindergarten students are allowed to wear their costumes to school. Students in Grades 1-6 will be given time to change into their costumes before the parade begins. Also to remember: no make up-no weapons-no blood or gore-no scary masks.
The Book Fair is coming!
We're going on a Book Fair Safari! The book fair runs from November 14-21, 2008. More information will be coming home over the next weeks. Please take a look at our Book Fair Home Page for additional information.
Ice Skate Night at Snoopy's Home Ice
Join the fun at Redwood Empire Ice Arena for evening of skating with the students and familie of Schaefer. Cost is $5.50, including skates. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
Evening of Giving
Earn money for Schaefer while you shop! Simon's Evening of Giving is coming November 23rd. For $10 you get admission to the event held at both Santa Rosa Plaza (7-10 p.m.)and CoddingTown Mall (5:30-8:30 p.m.). Ticket holders receive special store offers, enjoy entertainment, prizes and food and beverage sampling--all while getting a jump on holiday shopping! And remember...70% of the ticket price is returned to Schaefer for use in our classrooms!
